Motul pedal cars

this  project is built pedalcar on original oil barreel.

but this pedalcar is adapted to childrens  between 4 to 8 years old.

 so i need a longer barrel than original one, 

so i use 2 oil bareel and assmbled both of them to make one.

 i need 5/6 days  of metalshaping and welding  and painting to make one pedalcar.

i built a total of 20 pedalcars....

Restauration "Pierre GUY" pedal car

i  buy this pedalcar 10 days a go, for me, this pedal car  is very exeptional ,because she have a real racing shape "racer type" she have a exellent condition for more than 80 years, and she is complet, all hub caps , horn ,headlights,dashbord, and the size is around 1 meter 20!
so i buy it  , i just restore the car , but like you know , i dont touch the paint of course  !
i love the original patina, i  just remove all dents, weld some panels,  and adjust the wheels...

start by dismantling all the parts
remove all dents, and make some welds...

This pedal car was in good condition, but the paint was shining too.
  I decided creates a patina of created an exhaust, the carburetor on the side.
and some other details ...

Racer pedal car

i have a old racer pedal car but i really don't like the front nose
and lot other details , so i decided to work on it!

this is the ugly nose!

i cut around 30 centimeters!

i design the new grill , they look like model A ford

this look very different than the old ugly one

i design a cap radiator in brass

make new rear fender , because last one  have too much rust and bando

i m not specialist of upholstery so i take a old citroen "ds" seat for make my seat !

yes racer for sure and the date of the new creation!

the new rust patina give real good effect , and put the number on it

i use my bead roller for make the new grill and give to her the same radius

this looks good but take longtime for make the space holes

front and rear bumpers are brand new too
with the original patina this delahaye look very nice

rebuilt leon doumercq pedal car

 this car has pedals was completely redone, I was missing the seat and the front grille, I worked about 6 days to finish

i start to restore the chassis

make pattern for the new hood

install all rivets thanks to clekos!!

i never think i can do a complet grill with my bead roll
but i re start two time for have a good result

happy like a kid !
